a month gone by

Autumn leaves have faded and fallen.
Autumn is wearing Winter’s dress.
The fresh new hum of a new school
year has turned into an
old, familiar song.

Over a month has passed since I started this blog (can I just say that I do not like the word, “blog”?) and I feel compelled to get my writing shoes back on. It is difficult to feel motivated to write for fun when all you can think about is that paper that’s due next week. Although, writing for my own personal enjoyment and writing for school are miles apart on the scale of work versus play.

Many thoughts, dreams, fears, and frustrations pass through my mind in a month. In the last month, I have often thought to myself, “Ohh, I should write about that.” That notion ended up to be just an idea pushed to the side of my occupied thoughts.

Well. Hello. My name is Kimberly and I’m back on this thing, trying to be consistent in sharing what’s in my head and on my heart. Maybe one of these days I’ll actually write about what’s on my mind instead of saying that I’m going to write about what’s on my mind.

  1. Kimberly! Did you write that poem at the beginning?! It is so beautiful! I'm totally stealing it and putting it on my Facebook status, of course, crediting you. :) And yes, please do keep blogging! (I know, it's such an ugly word, isn't it? haha)
